Vikings CB Khyree Jackson Killed in Car Crash

In a heart breaking news break this morning, it was reported that Vikings rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson was killed in a three car crash. The crash happened just before 3:15 AM. On top of Jackson, two other former college football players, Isaiah Hazel and Anthony Lytton, were killed in the crash. Hazel and Jackson were pronounced dead on site, while Lytton was brought to the hospital and pronounced dead later.

Jackson, the former Alabama Crimson Tide and Oregon Duck, was selected with the 108th pick of the 4th Round in the 2024 Draft back in April. We were much higher on Jackson than pretty much everyone. We thought Jackson ended up in one of the better situations for rookie cornerbacks. We felt Jackson would’ve fit in really well in DC Brian Flores defense. Not to mention, the Vikings CB room hasn’t been anything ridiculously special as of late. Even as a 4th Round Draft Pick, we felt like Jackson with a good summer and preseason absolutely could’ve found himself in a starting spot or at the very least a role.

It sucks that we’ll never get to see Jackson kickass in the league, but right now the only thing that matters is that the Jackson, Hazel, and Lytton families are shown love and support as they work through this horrific tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families during this time.
