Strengths: route running is very good, good short area burst, alternates releases off the line, offers value as a return man, decent elusiveness, pretty good hands,
Weaknesses: average athleticism, average speed, may struggle against press coverage, will be relegated to slot only, did not have eye popping stats catch and yardage wise, does not always use hands to catch,
Projected Draft Day: Early Day 3
Player Comparison: Hunter Renfrow/Braxton Berrios
Player Summary: Kyle Phillips is the traditional slot receiver in every respect. He is not an elite athlete, but excels in route running and hands. He does not offer much potential on the outside, but also contributes in the punt return game. He can become a high volume target and be very dependable, but will most likely never become an alpha. His average testing will most likely drop him to day three, but he will be a steal wherever he is picked up. The difference in him being Hunter Renfrow or Braxton Berrios may very well hinge on location. He can be a day one starter for a team lacking a slot receiver, but could also find himself stuck as a four or later and starting punt returner.
