Graded Quarterback Traits:
- Accuracy: 5/10 (He is pretty accurate on short throws and most medium routes. On deeper throws, perhaps due to his mechanic change, he is not as accurate. He misses too many throws deep and on some intermediate as well especially high. That being said he is good at throwing on the run).
- Anticipation: Anticipation: 6/10 (Again, he excels at leading receivers on medium throws in the 15 yard range. A lot of big plays were made hitting his receivers in stride in the intermediate area. On deep throws though, he underthrows more than you’d like though not due to lack of arm strength. He needs to learn how to keep his mechanics the same and to use his body in synch to lead receivers on the deep routes)
- Arm Strength: 6/10 (Enough arm strength to make most of the throw, but deep balls look super high effort at times and may struggle to hit them at the next level)
- Mechanics: 6/10 (On short and intermediate throws the mechanics look fine. Arm motion is long ish but quick. Lower body is maybe a little wide and not always used but it is not bad. On deep throws, especially to the left side, his mechanics get violent. He uses a lot of effort, his arm trails a bit, and it just need to be refined)
- Mobility: 7/10 (He is a threat to run and is decent in the open field. Uses his athleticism to scramble and roll out but keeps eyes down field. He is not gonna run by people but is a very good athlete go could carry it five to ten times a game in the NFL).
- Pocket Presence: 6/10 (He seems to have a good idea of when to rollout at times, and other times he stays in the pocket way too long. He does a good job of stepping up in the pocket and scrambling.
- Poise: 8/10 (Plays fearless at times and is not afraid to take a hit. Look at the last drive versus Alabama. Stood in the pocket and made two huge throws and did not panic. He may take too many hits in general, but he shows guts and no fear although he can get jumpy).
- Progressions: 5/10 ( There are times where he progresses through his first read to his second and in rare instances his third. There are also times where he gets glued onto the first read for too long).
*Age and Injury are a factor to consider here

Player Summary:
Oh what could have been for Hendon Hooker. There was a chance he could have led Tennessee to at least a finals appearance. Tennessee upset Alabama and were in it with Georgia, although Hooker missed a couple big throws in that game. Hooker has the makings of a starter caliber players. His arm is good enough but could be better if his mechanics are cleaned up, he is decently mobile, and does a little bit of everything while not being overly elite in any area either. His torn acl complicates an already old age entering the NFL season which is not included in our grade but is a factor to consider. He could go in the third if a team loves him or day three.
