  • Other Notes: When doing the gauntlet, Wilson was jumping every time he caught a pass. Both feet were in the air at multiple catch points and I just do not understand what that was. Also on a few different deep throws he seemed to give up. Yes they were overthrown but he did not even try to extend so it is unknown what the reasoning for him not attempting to reach for it is.

Strengths: Very elusive with the ball in hands, pretty good route running, very good speed

Weaknesses: Uses body and forearms to catch passes,

Projected Draft Day: Day 1

Player Comparison: A better Curtis Samuel

Player Summary: Elite as a runner with the ball in his hands, Wilson has the traits to take any pass he catches to the house. He is extremely elusive, possesses great speed, and has good route running to match. He can be a legitimate deep threat in the NFL. The main knock we have on him is that he catches too many passes with his body and or forearms. This is not to say he never catches with his hands, but when you watch the other two receivers at Ohio State play alongside Wilson, there is a clear difference in their catch style. I could see him having drop issues when he gets to the pros, but still provide great value as long as a team can live with the drops. Our comp is a better version of Curtis Samuel. They both are basically running backs in open field after the catch. Samuel’s hands are not the surest, as is the same with Wilson, and both possess very good speed. However, Wilson possesses all the ability to have much more success than Samuel, especially with the route runner that Wilson is. He can have drop issues, but still offers a ton of upside and creativity if implemented in the right offense.
