Graded Tight End Traits:

  • Athleticism: 8/10 (Appears to a very smooth athlete with good burst)
  • Durability: 7/10 (Had multiple different injuries this year that culminated in him missing the Rose Bowl and almost missing the Pac-12 Championship. While he played through them they did add up and could carry over to his nfl career)
  • Hands: 9/10 (Will be a dependable target with great catch radius. Not as sure handed on low or behind passes but excellent at high pointing)
  • RAC Ability: 8/10 (Pretty elusive and will even throw in a juke move or two. Strength allows him to go through defenders
  • Run Blocking: 7/10 (A very willing blocker especially as a lead. Pretty successful when form is correct. Too often he just tries to hit the players instead of actually getting his hands on them. Should be correctable)
  • Route Running: 5/10 (His route tree is extremely limited. His tape is full of comebacks drags and go routes. It does not seem like they asked him to run many double routes. The few times he did it looked awkward and slot compared to his athleticism and speed. This is the area that needs the most work)
  • Speed: 8/10 (Possesses very good speed for a tight end. Has the potential to run away from linebackers in coverage)
  • Strength: 7/10 (Good strength as a blocker when form is correct and as a runner. Defensive backs will have a hard time preventing extra yards against him)

Prospect Grade: 59/80; 74% (Pro Bowl Potential)

Player Comparison: Greg Olsen

Player Summary:

Kincaid is on the older side for a prospect at 23, but he is still an elite talent at the tight end positon. He is a very good athlete that has the speed to win vertically, and the hands to be reliable underneath. His strength is surprisingly good compared to his average size at the position and he is a very willing blocker. His route running needs work both in nuance and diversification but this should not be an issue. He high points very well and can impact the game at all levels.
