TreVeyon Henderson Summary:

The Positives

  • Willing and aggressive pass blocker
  • Can shift directions effectively
  • Plus vision
  • Relies on pretty effective power as a runner
  • Violent runner that is both a positive and negative

The Negatives

  • Almost no pass catching experience except swing routes
  • Broken foot in 2022 (among other injuries)
  • Leads with head when chipping which resulted in injuries as well
  • Would love to see him make more defenders miss instead of taking big contact every carry
  • Actively seeks out contact which results (at times) in not gaining as much yardage as possible
  • Despite decent vision there are times when he just puts his head down and misses running lanes
  • Not a ton of elusiveness

For someone as hyped as Henderson, you would think there would be more wow on tape. To us, there is not. Henderson is a vicious runner with good power and decent burst. He is able to change directions effectively and has good enough vision. On the flip side, he puts himself in harms way far too often. He is a willing blocker but leads with his head, as is the same with running style. He has had multiple injuries and it is easy to see how that could continue at the next level. Henderson has almost no experience catching passes and has little elusiveness to pair with his power. He is extremely similar to Dameon Pierce in so many ways. We expect Henderson to be a capable starter with a short pro career.
