Shedeur Sanders Summary:
The Positives
- Possesses a good arm with a great spiral
- Cleaned up and shortened throwing motion from Jackson State days
- Good athleticism that could be used more
- Makes quick decisions and rarely holds the ball too long
- Being mentored by Tom Brady
- Great touch and placement on passes
The Negatives
- While tempo offense will help his stats, it is likely he will be knocked for running a non traditional offense
- He is going to have to show more than most in his class this season since a lot of his film will be against smaller schools.
- Running production does not match athleticism
- Can get glued onto first read too much for too long but this has not led to turnovers yet.
Wow what a debut for Colorado and Sanders. You cannot make a better start for Sanders’s Colorado career in Hollywood. As the season goes on our scouting profile will update for Sanders, but what was seen against TCU was impressive. A very quick decision maker who is usually right where he needs to be with his accuracy, Sanders took one game to break the single game Colorado passing record. Sanders seems to be very accurate with amazing touch and enough athleticism to maneuver the pocket and escape effectively. He is being mentored by Tom Brady which cannot be ignored, and has the makings of an ascending prospect. With what his dad is building in Colorado, we feel it is likely he will return to school for another year no matter what, but he will be draft eligible if he wants.
