Raheim Sanders Summary:
The Positives
- Pretty good power to fight through contact
- Upside as a pass protector
- More pass catching experience than a lot of the other projected top backs
- Shows glimpses of an elite power/vision combination though it is not always there
- Uses a patient running style for a big back that both helps and hurts him
- Sneakily athletic for size
- Decent not great change of direction
The Negatives
- Very short strider with somewhat patient running style that lacks top level CoD and elusiveness to get the most out of the running style.
- As mentioned above, not much elusiveness. It is more subtle than notable.
Sanders shows glimpses of being one of the few truly elite running back prospects in this class. He has good size and decent speed when he gets it into high gear. He possesses a patient running style that sometimes works and sometimes does not. His elusiveness is nothing to write home about but his power and vision allows this to not be a major negative. He is very similar to Zach Charbonnet. Both bigger, power backs that used patience more than you would expect. Charbonnet is likely more shifty, but there is a good chance Sanders will test better athletically.
