Miyan Williams Summary:
The Positives
- Possesses very good power and knows how to use it
- While there is almost no pass catching production he ran a lot of different routes so theres projectible upside
- Willing blocker
- Very difficult to bring down one on one
- Good enough at reading lanes
- Though definitely a power back, he has subtle shiftiness
The Negatives
- Athleticism is nothing to write home about (more of a grinder than homerun hitter)
- Struggles at times on stretch plays and getting to the outside in time
- Not a lot of lateral movement ability
Miyan Williams may be the RB2 in Ohio right now, but it is our opinion that he is the better back. While TreVeyon is an aggressive runner, he takes what is given and does not do a ton of self-creation. Miyan is a punishing back who knows how to use his power, rarely does the first tackler bring him down easily. He reads the lanes fairly well and is a willing blocker. He is a tad bit undersized but that does not affect his bruising style at all. While there is not much production in the passing game, he did run a variety of routes and should be able to catch 30 passes or so. It is hard to find a modern day comp for him, but the closest we came up with is Shonn Greene. Both were undersized with a ton of muscle and power and Miyan should be a third round selection like Shonn.
