Michael Pratt Player Summary:
The Positives
- Decent Athlete
- Good arm (though not great)
- Anticipation in the middle of the field
- Throwing motion is good when it all times up correctly
- Keeps feet moving in the pocket
- Progresses fairly efficiently
- Dealt with a ton of drops so there is projected improvement in completion %
The Negatives
- Anticipation on sideline throws and deep balls needs to be better
- Struggles to complete passes in the face of pressure
- Arm strength varies on throws due to lower body being out of sync with upper body
- Not special as a pure runner
- Does not escape the pocket too effectively at the present time
Pratt is a popular pick to be a big riser this year as he returns to Tulane for another season. He is a good athlete with a decent arm and a lot of potential to grow. As it stands he needs to develop in a lot of areas including accuracy and anticipation on the outside throws as well as maneuvering the pocket. His mechanics do not always sync up which leads to issues however that can be fixed as well. He is very reminiscent of what Carson Wentz has been at the NFL level. Motion, same arm strength, and more all are Wentz-like.
