Penix is not someone that has been on my love list for a while, but he has shown growth enough to enter first round territory. He possesses a very good arm that just requires a flick of the wrist and can deliver touch and bullet passes. That being said, he has the potential to be a turnover machine at the NFL level. The lack of interceptions in college does not portray the number of turnover-worthy throws he committed. If he goes to the right team with good weapons (IE Pittsburgh, Minnesota) he could flourish early. However if he goes to a rebuilding team early that lacks talent, he could struggle mightily.
