Marshawn Kneeland Summary:

The Positives

  • Can build up a decent head of steam
  • High motor
  • Has decent power
  • Decent tackle numbers
  • Good usage of hands to disengage blockers

The Negatives

  • Stiff moving side to side
  • Sack numbers are disappointing (though even games when he did not record a sack he impacted the outcome with pressure)

Kneeland is a late addition to our scouting, as his numbers did not pop in college. However, he had a decent showing at the combine and is rising up draft boards. He is very similar to Jermaine Johnson coming out of FSU, in that they both will likely impact the running game before the passing, but both carried upside beyond the production. That being said, Johnson was better and stronger in our opinion so he was a better prospect.
