Cooper Beebe Summary:

The Positives

  • Big mauler in run game
  • Has some experience at tackle(Missouri game)
    • Watching him play tackle scares the heck out of me
  • Strength not in question

The Negatives

  • Slow puller, worried about harming play development
  • Footwork needs improvement, he’s got heavy feet
  • His snap reaction time is concerning at times

Cooper Beebe is an interesting prospect to say the least. He’s a big mauler in the run game, emphasis on big. His strength is certainly not in question. However, what is in question is his ability to move. His footwork needs to be worked on, he has really heavy feet. When K-State asked him to pull it was a major concern. He pulls so slow that you can actually watch him harm play development at times, and we worry about it becoming a more prominent issue at the next level. He’s a player we could see moving to Center where he wouldn’t really ever have to pull, but at the same time could anchor and handle those 0-Tech NT’s.

Updated 4/24/24: It would be truly hard for us to bump his grade up too much based on Combine drills alone, but when our concerns with Beebe was mobility and he showed up to the Combine 13 lbs lighter and looking the way he did in drills it’s hard to say anything other than he’s trending up. We think if Beebe continues to improve and look how he did at the Combine the future could be very bright.

Updated 4/24/24:

  • Combine numbers added to measurable portion of profile
  • Grade switched from “60%” to “60% with upside”
    • It’s hard to truly up Beebe’s grade based on Combine drills, but the strides he showed at the Combine shows a lot of promise for upside for whoever draft him”
  • Projection switched from “Day 2” to “Round 2, Fringe Round 1”
  • Comp switched from “O’Cyrus Torrence” to “More Athletic Jamaree Salyer”
