Chop Robinson Summary:
The Positives
- Great Name
- Explodes off the line of scrimmage
- Very effective use of hands to move blockers
- Great power and low center of gravity
The Negatives
- Did not have eye popping production
- Injured for part of this season
- A little stiff and not as much bend as you would want to match athleticism
Despite not having a signature year of production, Chop’s potential jumps off the page. He has great burst and truly explodes off the line. Yet, he also possesses power to bull rush anyone on the line and hold up in the run game. His bend doesnt match his burst, but he is still able to get around tackles and use his hands to move them. It is hard finding a comp for someone that is only 6’3 with his level of power and he is definitely not a speed rusher only. The closest I could think of is Shaq Barrett, but Chop has more athleticism.
