Cam Hart Player Summary:
The Positives
- Good length for the position
- Only allowed 1 target against Marvin Harrison, and it was “incomplete”(overthrow)
- Seems relatively lock down
- Can play from press or off pretty comfortably
- Has experience as a slot CB
- When he gives up a pass underneath he is looking to punch the ball out
The Negatives
- Struggles to get off of blocks
- Minimal in run support
- Speed in question
- Also, lacks elite closing speed to make plays on the ball
- Speed not necessarily in question, 40 time at Combine is about where we thought it’d be
- Rotated out more often than you’d think
- Can get caught flat footed at times
- Change of direction seems sluggish, and unpolished
Side Note:
- Tackling inconclusive, not enough shown on tape
Cam Hart is going to be a solid Day 3 pick for someone. Hart has really good length for the position that it feels like he’s still trying to figure out how to use to his advantage. Hart for the most part feels like he has the potential to be a lock down to an extent(while covering Marv, he was only targeted once). Our favorite part of his game is that when he gives up something underneath you can see his eyes dart immediately for the ball, he wants to punch it out. The reason his grade is not higher is because he does have a handful of negatives which include questionable speed, being minimal in run support, and sluggish change of direction.
