Bo Nix Player Summary:
The Positives
- Plus Athlete and Runner
- Upper Level Arm Strength
- Very good at moving around in the pocket and sensing pressure
- Solid mechanics
The Negatives
- Accuracy dips in the face of pressure
- Accuracy in general could be better
- A lot of anticipation throws are just enough off that they are incomplete, it is a small adjustment that could make a lot of difference
- Gunslinger mentality needs to be dialed in slightly
- Age
Age is not on his side, but Nix may have made the correct decision in running it back one more year with Oregon. Had he come out this season, we imagine he would have been slotted ahead of Levis but behind Richardson in the QB rankings. Now, with another good season at Oregon, he may be fighting for the QB2 rank. He is a great athlete with a very strong arm that is a little too turnover prone and needs to work on accuracy. Our comp to Sam Howell is not a negative as we had him ranked QB1 ahead of Pickett. In no way should he have been a 5th rounder and we hope he has a successful career. Nix is a similar player with a similar skill set and we hope to see continued growth after escaping Auburn.
