Blake Fisher Summary:
The Positives
- Better run blocker than pass blocker
- Transition to, and ability to block second level is really good
- Sees line stunts well
- Pulls and moves smoothly
The Negatives
- Can be a bit too wide in kick step
- Okay footwork, could definitely use some improvement
Blake Fisher played RT for the Fighting Irish, and could continue to play tackle as he transitions to the league, but when we watched the tape it just felt like Fisher would be a better interior line player. Fisher is a better run than pass blocker, and the issues seem to stem from his lower body technique and mechanics. All correctable, but we believe Fisher is a player that can play from day one, but we worry about his ability to be left 1 vs. 1 against the league’s top edge players. At least at guard he would have a body on either side of him.
