Graded Tight End Traits:
- Athleticism: 7/10 (Under the radar athlete. Moves very smooth and has good burst and acceleration. Curious about what his jumps will be)
- Durability: 7/10 (Had a knee injury that seemed to linger all season and required a brace but did not miss time. Only has two years on the field without heavy usage which is not necessarily his fault but also something to monitor)
- Hands: 7/10 (Seems to have decent hands but they are not in the right place far to often and does not try the diamond catch method as much as you want)
- RAC Ability: 5/10 (Besides his decent speed there is not a ton going on here as he does not make attempts to really make people miss and just takes what is given)
- Run Blocking: 8/10 (A very advanced blocker both in form and effectiveness when in line. Could use some more weight at the next level and needs to get better as a lead blocker)
- Route Running: 5/10 (Has a decent route tree but not amazing. Ran a lot of the same routes over and over but should be good enough to find the soft spots in zones)
- Speed: 7/10 (Pretty good speed for a tight end. Not blazing but better than average)
- Strength: 7/10 (He holds up really well in blocking at times even against defensive lineman like in the auburn game. However against people with powerful first steps he loses leverage quick. He needs to work on standing up blitzers that get a head start and getting lower to feature his strength more)

Player Summary:
Heavily underutilized at Alabama and just not targeted by Bryce Young, Latu has a lot of upside compared to his production. He is a plus athlete and very good blocker with a potential to be an elite one with added strength. He may take a year or two to grow into the role but offers a lot as a do it all tight end.
