Complete Scouting Report of Edefuan Ulofoshio | What You Need to Know

An in depth and complete scouting report and draft prospect profile of Washington Linebacker Edefuan Ulofoshio for the NFL Draft.

Prospect: Edefuan Ulofoshio

School: Washington

Age: 24

Edefuan Ulofoshio Measurables:

  • Height: 6’0.5” (NFL Combine)
  • Weight: 236 (NFL Combine)
  • 40: 4.56 (NFL Combine)- 5/15
  • 10 Yard Split: 1.59 (NFL Combine)- T-2/15
  • Vertical Jump: 39.5” (NFL Combine)- 1/17
  • Broad Jump: 10’8” (NFL Combine)-1/17
  • Side Notes:
    • We noted that Ulofoshio’s 40 time feels about right
    • Good 40 time, but lower end 10 yard split makes sense. Short area burst and quickness definitely doesn’t flash on tape.
    • Was not expecting him to be the top jumper. Showed more athleticism than we would’ve thought, but very happy with it

Tape Watched: Oregon, USC, Arizona

Prospect Grade: 60%- With upside

Projected Draft Day: Rounds 3-4

Player Comparison: Shades of Quay Walker

Edefuan Ulofoshio Player Summary:

The  Positives

  • Good box player
    • Pretty good block shedder
  • Sound, reliable tackler

The Negatives

  • Understanding of gap assignment and filling needs work
    • Can overflow and leave open gaps at times
  • USC’s RPO offense with late leakers as the pass option seemed to give him issues
  • Needs a better understanding of offensive play angles
    • Ulofashio tends to attack where offensive players are not where they are going to be
  • Could use better zone and spatial awareness.
    • Work on squeezing routes better

Side Notes

  • Ulofoshio’s size and play style is very hard to gauge. In the Oregon game he looks more like his listed size with some solid athleticism, but in the USC game he looks bigger than his listed size with slightly less athleticism.
    • Based on a third look(Arizona), it feels like overall Ulofoshio is athletic with just some tightness to work through.
  • Ulofoshio is a better box backer, but is not bad in space. Just could use some better zone and spatial awareness. Could work on squeezing routes better

Edefuan Ulofoshio is an interesting prospect from his size to his style of play. When you watch the Oregon game(which we believe was his best game we scouted) he looks like his listed size with solid athleticism. When you get to the USC game though, he looks bigger than his listed size with slightly less athleticism. We had to go to a third game to see if we could break the tie, and the first impression we got was more USC, but he flashed some of the Oregon athleticism as well. His combine is going to be important for us to get a better understanding of the prospect he truly is.

Updated 3/2/24:

  • Combine numbers and rank added to measurable portion of profile
  • It’s very hard for us to bump Ulofoshio’s grade up because a lot of his negatives are not really things he could show at the combine. But that being said we think his 60% grade comes along with an “upside” tag.
  • Ulofoshio’s Projection went from “Day 3, Possible Day 2 based on Combine perform” to “Rounds 3-4”
