Shipley continues the trend of disappointing running backs in this class. The name is known, but the tape shows a jack of all trades/master of none running back. He can rush with little bits of power and speed, catch the ball, and return but is not elite at any of them. He could be an every down back but on the lower end as far as skill and upside. Shipley could have a David Montgomery type career or a Mattison career. One where he starts for a couple years then goes to part time, or is part time and gets the chance to start later. He is a 3rd round pick at best but more likely to be day 3.
