Graded Wide Receiver Traits:

  • Durability: 7/10 (Has three years of production, but missed Cotton Bowl due to an ankle injury that is not considered major. Worth monitoring once the draft process starts. Also missed game in middle of season with another lower body injury)
  • Hands: 7/10 (Too many drops in his first two seasons. But, only 2 this year which could show major strides being made in this department)
  • Release: 7/10 (Can explode at the snap as well as use double moves and hesitations to beat press. Concerned about physical press corners being able to jam him)
  • RAC Ability: 6/10 (Very reliable on his speed here. For a guy of his profile he is not overly elusive and may be easier to tackle than you think)
  • Route Running: 9/10 ( Incredibly sudden with stops and in and out breaks. Uses double moves incredibly effective)
  • Speed: 8/10 (Has very good speed to run routes and be a deep threat. Can get to the top speed quickly)
  • Strength: 7/10 (He has surprising play strength for his size. We wonder how he will do against bigger and more physical corners but he does have enough strength to where it isn’t a super big concern)
  • Versatility: 8/10 (Can be used as a deep threat but also has the route running to be elite in the lot. Has the speed to be a jet sweep option and played some snaps at running back although the surprising lack of elusiveness could limit him slightly at the next level. Still very versatile)

Prospect Grade: 59/80; 74% (Pro Bowl Potential)

Projected Draft Day: 1

Player Comparison: Brandon Cooks

Player Summary:

Addison transferred to USC this past season and his production was almost halved. This does not mean he was not a factor. Addison possesses high end speed with great route running to match. His hands are good enough and can be used in a variety of ways at the next level. He has had a few lower leg injuries this year that are worth mentioning but nothing suggests they will linger. There is some slight concern that he will struggle against very physical corners on the press but it is not a massive one. He should be one of the top 3 receivers taken and is very resemblant of Brandon Cooks only taller.
