1Caleb Williams6'122082%Donovan McNabbThe Hype around Williams is real. He is an absolute wizard in the pocket, routinely escaping sacks that seem borderline impossible. That is, in our opinion, where the Mahomes comparisons come from...
2Bo Nix6'221468%Sam HowellAnother good season at Oregon has Nix at the QB2 rank. He is a great athlete with a very strong arm that is a little too turnover prone and needs to work on accuracy. Our comp to Sam Howell is not a negative as we had him ranked QB1 ahead of Pickett...

Jayden DanielsJayden Daniels6'421065%Kordell StewartDaniels is the 2023 Heisman Winner and he deserved it with a very impressive season in the air and on the ground. However, it is in our opinion that he is not a sure thing and has much more development than the overreaction mocks would have you believe. Daniels is a high level athlete at the quarterback position and operates well in a quick strike offense...

J.J. McCarthy6'2 1/221966%Ceiling: Dak Prescott
Floor: Zach Wilson
The TCU game is a perfect microcosm of McCarthy as a prospect. The same player that threw two ugly pick sixes also almost led a major comeback with the team on his back. He makes way too many risk throws, but also makes a lot of wild plays....

Michael Penix6'221665%Jay CutletsPenix is not someone that has been on my love list for a while, but he has shown growth enough to enter first round territory. He possesses a very good arm that just requires a flick of the wrist and can deliver touch and bullet passes. That being said, he has the potential to be a turnover machine at the NFL level...

Drake Maye6'422363%Sam DarnoldThe notion that Drake Maye is a top 5 pick and on par with Caleb Williams is ludacris. He is going to get someone fired (similar to Bryce Young with Frank Reich) if he gets set with massive expectations in a top 5 selection. This is not to say Maye is not a starter in the NFL (he has that potential), but we would not go as far as saying he even has pro bowl potential. There is so much of Sam Darnold in Drake Maye. The size, long throwing motion, the decent athleticism, the spotty accuracy paired with an average arm, and the inability to sense pressure.
7Jordan Travis6'120063%Daniel JonesTravis's injury projects him later than his talents. He possesses a lightning quick release that gets a surprising amount of power behind it. He is a high level athlete and a talented runner with experience in the shotgun and under center. He does not come without risk though...
8Michael Pratt6'2 1/221759%Carson WentzHe is a good athlete with a decent arm and a lot of potential to grow. As it stands he needs to develop in a lot of areas including accuracy and anticipation on the outside throws as well as maneuvering the pocket. His mechanics do not always sync up which leads to issues however that can be fixed as well. He is very reminiscent of what Carson Wentz has been at the NFL level. Motion, same arm strength, and more all are Wentz-like....
9Kedon Slovis6'2 1/222355%Nick FolesI really believe there is upside to Slovis’s game, but he continues to regress. He was at his third college in BYU, and his regression continued. He did show flashes of the player he could be, but there is not enough there to see him drafted even on day 2. He got injured and ultimately benched (though his replacement played worse so thats something), yet his USC year shows what he could be in the right system. If there is a Brock Purdy type QB in this draft (a Day 3 pick who could go on to start) it is Slovis...
10Spencer RattlerSpencer Rattler6'021141%Bryce PettyRattler is one of a few former top recruit QBs that have failed to live up to their lofty expectations. He has had questions about his commitment to football, his leadership, and his maturity. Rattler does possess a strong arm and good athleticism, but has some brutal deep accuracy and issues with pressure....
11Joe MiltonJoe Milton6'523540%Cardale JonesMilton is being referred to as this year’s Anthony Richardson, and we just do not see it. Milton does have an absolute cannon for an arm, and is a decent athlete, but that is really all he has going for him. He is nowhere near the athlete Richardson and his accuracy is far worse than AR’s. He gets locked onto his first reads and is as still as possible in the pocket. He is a major project and we would not be shocked if he is replaced at some point this season by mega recruit Nico Iamaleava despite the physical upside.
12Devin LearyDevin Leary6'121510%Kaleb ElebyIf Leary is able to come back from his torn pec and return to normal play (and that is certainly an if), it will be a great story. However, even without the injury he is an average prospect at best. His motion is waaay too long and as a result he struggles with pump fakes and quick throws...
