Tommy Eichenberg was a LB prospect that fit into a smaller category of guys with a solid floor who are ready to play, who don’t offer the ceiling of others. Eichenberg ends up in a situation, at 23 might we add, where he’s not in a place to see the field much past maybe special teams. The Raiders(from what we can tell) played a heavy amount of 2 LB sets, featuring Spillane and Deablo. No LB played more than like 30% of snaps in a game unless there was an injury to one of the two featured guys. Eichenberg is an ideal backup for Spillane, but could absolutely have contributed or even started for other teams.
