2024 NFL Draft UDFA Signings that Can Make the Roster

In this article we will cover which undrafted players we believe have the best chance to make their respective teams 53 man roster by the end of summer camp. Most of these were players we had as sleepers and or ones we really loved more than most for the 2024 NFL Draft UDFA.

Anim Dankwah, OT, Howard- Philadelphia Eagles

Standing at 6’8”, 353, Dankwah is a monster of a human being. The one thing the Eagles do well is develop linemen, just look at Jordan Mailata. Stoutland took him from never playing a snap of football to one of the NFL’s best blindside protectors. With Dankwah being one of Philly’s first UDFA’s you just know Stoutland saw something in him. Not to mention the battle to be a backup tackle in Philly is not that deep right now.

Darrian Dalcourt, IOL, Alabama- Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens lost both starting guards from the 2023 seasons in Kevin Zeitler and John Simpson. The Ravens did have one of the 2023 NFL Draft’s best stashes in Andrew Vorhees, but realistically there’s an open competition for the guard spots and there’s no reason with the names in the room that Dalcourt can’t compete for a starting spot not just a roster spot. He probably has one of the easier roads to a roster spot.

Beau Brade, S, Maryland- Baltimore Ravens

Brade was our S1, now… were we higher on him than basically everyone? Yes. Did we think he’d go undrafted? Absolutely not, this may be one of the biggest steals of UDFA. Now from Brade’s perspective, he couldn’t have ended up in a more ideal landing spot either. Look at what the Ravens did last year defensively. They ran a lot of 3 safety looks with Stone, Hamilton, and Williams. Hamilton and Williams continue to start, but look at who’s in the room there’s no reason why Brade can’t work his way into being a package player as a rookie. A roster spot should be a lock, for him it’s how early can he contribute.

Steele Chambers, LB, Ohio State

We didn’t have Chambers pinned as a ready to play prospect, we thought he could use some development. Now that being said we also believe that Chambers has the skill set to develop into one of the best LBs from this class. The reason we don’t have the Lions next to his name is because truth be told with how deep the Lions are at LB we have a hard time believing he makes it in Detroit. Now that being said, we think Chambers could be a standout of the preseason and latch on with a LB needy team post cuts.

Josh Wallace, CB, Michigan- Los Angeles Rams

Josh Wallace was a UMass CB who transferred into Michigan in 2023. He went from a small independent to one of the CFP’s biggest contenders over the last few years. Not only did Wallace come to compete, not only did he win a starting job, we believe he established himself as the best CB3 in CFB last year and only improved over the course of the season. Wallace is walking into one of the most open CB rooms in all of football right now. Wallace is not afraid to compete and we believe he’s going to make this roster, and may even compete for snaps as a rookie.

Kalen DeLoach, LB, Florida State- Tampa Bay Buccaneers

DeLo to the Bucs may be one of the best prospect to team fits of UDFA. Some might argue “They already have an undersized blitzing LB in SirVocea Dennis.” Yes they do, but we like DeLo’s skillset and upside more than Dennis. We don’t think DeLo will beat out KJ Britt for the starting spot opposite Lavonte David, but if you told us DeLo was taking Britt off the field on 3rd downs, that wouldn’t surprise us in the slightest. Just another chess piece for Bowles defense this upcoming season.

Beanie Bishop Jr., DB, West Virginia- Pittsburgh Steelers

We didn’t get a chance to watch Bishop, but have heard some good things about him while watching the Big 12 Pro Day. Bishop should be able to beat out a good handful of the guys in the Steelers CB/NB room right now. Will Bishop start as a rookie? We’d lean most likely not, but he should be able to make the 53.

Andrew Coker, OT, TCU- Las Vegas Raiders

We had Coker down as a Day 3 pick, but him going undrafted doesn’t really surprise us, although as a UDFA it’s a solid pick up. With the Raiders RT spot being open and the rest of the tackle room not being super impressive Coker should at least be able to make the roster.

Storm Duck, CB, Louisville- Miami Dolphins

We don’t expect Duck to start with the Dolphins having added Fuller on top of Needham and 2023 2nd rounder Cam Smith, but there’s really nothing else past that. Duck wasn’t too much of a factor at Louisville, but still has good tape dating back to his UNC days. He’s still a good prospect who should compete heavily this summer and turn some heads. Just remember the Dolphins have already hit on one UDFA CB in Kader Kohou and we think Duck can be the next.

Drake Nugent, IOL, Michigan- San Francisco 49ers

In the most respectful way possible it just feels like Shanahan has rolled out one of the most average OLs in the league for as talented as their skill spots are. The lack of blocking is a major reason why they lost to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. If you ask us, the only two safe starters are Williams and Banks and everything else should be open competition. We had a Day 2 grade on Nugent, so this is a steal in UDFA. Not to mention Nugent played in a Michigan system that’s not all that far off from what SF does. Don’t be surprised if Nugent walks out of summer camp with a starting spot or at the very least an immediate backup role.

Jackson Sirmon, LB, Cal- New York Jets

Sirmon missed time this year due to injury, but had himself a pretty good Senior Bowl if we remember correctly. Behind Mosley and Williams there’s not too much in the Jets LB room. Sirmon should be able to go into camp and compete with most of the room to latch on to the 53 man roster.

Josh Proctor, S/NB, Ohio State- Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jags S/NB spots are kind of up in the air right now depending on how things shake out in camp. There’s a lot of versatility in the Jags secondary and Proctor fits the mold. We assume Cisco and Savage start at safety with Johnson taking over the NB spot. But outside of the starters there’s not too much depth, so with Proctors ability to play ST and down in the box, he should be able to beat out the competition in Jacksonville.

Kedon Slovis, QB, BYU- Indianapolis Colts

Slovis was our biggest qb sleeper and someone who joins a situation where no long term backup is entrenched. Flacco is a great vet but you have no idea how many years he has left. Sam Ehlinger is nothing special. Do not be surprised if Sloves is the QB3 right away and ends up QB2 if Flacco retires.

Frank Gore Jr, RB, Southeastern Missouri- Buffalo Bills

This one is truly puzzling. We know we liked him a lot more than most, but the fact that Frank Gore’s son, who was a productive college back and shrine bowl standout, did not get drafted is wild. He is very shifty and we expect him to either show off in the preseason for another team or make the roster as RB3.

Daijun Edwards, RB, UGA- Pittsburgh Steelers

Our RB1. Make no mistake, we know we were the only ones out here that had Edwards even close to that ranking. And we also knew he was not going in the first 2 days. But, when is the last time a lead georgia back did not get drafted, even as a dart throw. Edwards lacks elite athleticism but has good vision and elusiveness that we imagine gets him on a roster. Similar to Gore, we see him as the RB3 in Pitt or doing enough to make another roster.

Marcus Rosemy Jacksaint, WR, UGA- Washington Commanders

We viewed Jacksaint as a day 3 receiver with upside. Seeing how Rice fell, though, we are not shocked with this result. Reports indicate Jacksaint had offers/calls from all 32 teams following the draft and he went with Washington. We like Scary Terry, but do not love Dotson or 4th rounder McCaffrey. There is a legit chance Jacksaint opens as the WR4 and works his way up.

Blake Watson, RB, Memphis- Denver Broncos

Watson was someone we did not love compared to others, but he is a back with a clear skillset. He is a great pass catcher and likely has a similar role at the NFL level if he can stick. This particular landing spot is curious though. Javonte, Audric, and Jaleel McLaughlin seem set as the RB room, leaving questions on where Samaje Perine and Watson fit in. However, we believe Watson opens up the season on a NFL roster.

Nathanial Peat, RB, Mizzou- Dallas Cowboys

We did not do an in depth scout of Peat, but his athletic upside is undeniable. Also, this is a Dallas team who beefed up the O-line, ignored running back in the draft, signed a bargain bin Elliot, and just has bodies in the room. Peat could not only make the roster, but be one of those guys that actually plays meaningful snaps as a rookie.

Lideatrick Griffin, WR, Miss St- Las Vegas Raiders

An effective deep threat that was on an awful offense, Griffin could easily crack a roster as a WR5 and go up from there.

Drake Stoops, WR, Oklahoma- Los Angeles Rams

The Rams just have a history of hitting on these late round, UDFA receivers and we trust that Stoops fits the mold of what they value.

Grayson Murphy, EDGE, UCLA- Miami Dolphins

Purely for the lack of depth at EDGE, Murphy should have a realistic shot at becoming a backup here.

Leonard Taylor III, DL, Miami- New York Jets

A big run stiffer, with some athleticism, always has a spot on a roster. Taylor III is nothing special but a solid piece who could become an early down player.

Cody Shrader, RB, Mizzou- San Francisco 49ers

A great story would only be made better if he made is NFL roster as well. San Fran had a great pick with Isaac Gurrendo, but there still is not a ton behind him and McCaffrey. Elijah Mitchell is always hurt, so Shrader could be on the roster.

Dillon Johnson, RB, Washington- Tennessee Titans

Tennessee has their two backs set. However, neither are really power packs (Pollard is definitely not). Johnson is exactly that, a no nonsense power back.
