Jordan Travis fits the mold of multiple QBs in prior years who went in the 3rd round or later, but had the talent of a 2nd rounder or better. His gruesome leg injury likely dropped him more than anything, similar to Hendon Hooker the year prior. Like Hooker and guys like Sam Howell, Travis is a player who could legitimately start for a NFL team in a couple years. The Jets needed to add a young developmental prospect in the room behind Rodgers and Taylor (with the departure of Zach Wilson), and they found great value in Travis. There should be no rush to get Travis in there, he should have ample time to heal, and he can learn from Rodgers for at least a year as the Jets continue to go back and forth between being competitive and on the fringe of being irrelevant. They have great and young players, and Travis gives them some insurance should Rodgers decide after this year to run for Vice President.
