Of all the prospects that fell to Day 3, the most surprising may be Georgia CB Kelee Ringo. Ringo was projected to go in Round 2 amongst the consensus with a ceiling of being a late 1st rounder. Ringo has plummeted and now finds himself waiting for a call as we head into the final of the draft. We don’t think anyone could’ve predicted that. He’s got an okay floor, but a pretty high ceiling. He’s 6’2”, 207 and ran a 4.36. In a normal year people would be all over that size/speed combination. We understand that Ringo is not a polished CB prospect, and needs development in several aspects of his game, but there’s no way his skill set has a Day 3 grade. This just feels like the Tariq Woolen situation from last year, where a size/speed developmental CB falls into Day 3. The only difference is that Ringo to us is a more polished player coming out than Woolen was last year. All we know is whether it’s a year from now or 5 years from now we’re all going to look back and wonder how Ringo fell into Day 3.

The strangest part for us is that no one seems to know why he’s still available, or not publicized at least.
