2023 Heisman Standings Upd. 10/13

This is our rankings for the 2023 Heisman Trophy Candidates. As the season goes on the list will expand.

1. Caleb Williams, QB, USC

2023 Stats: 71.7 Comp %, 1822 Yards, 22 TD, 1 INT, 6 Rushing TD

  • Williams had an off day through the year and USC was nearly upset by Arizona (after Arizona almost beat Washington last week) could have hurt Williams’ Heisman chances, but he had 3 rushing touchdowns that saved the day.

2. Michael Penix Jr, QB, Washington

2023 Stats: 74.7 Comp %, 1999 Yards, 16 TD, 2 INT,

  • Washington had their bye

3. Dillon Gabriel, QB, Oklahoma

2023 Stats: 72.3 Comp %, 1878 Yards, 16 TD, 2 INT, 208 Rush yards, 5 Rushing TD

  • Gabriel is our biggest riser with a massive win over Texas. He and Jayden Daniels are having similar seasons except Gabriel has Oklahoma undefeated at the moment.

4. Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

2023 Stats: 72.9 Comp %, 1969 Yards, 19 TD, 2 INT, 422 Rushing Yds, 4 Rushing TD

  • It is hard to imagine Daniels winning with LSU having 2 losses thus far, but he is putting up incredible numbers in the air and on the ground.

5. Bo Nix, QB, Oregon

2023 Stats: 80.4 Comp %, 1459 Yards, 15 TD, 1 INT, 1 Rushing TD

  • Oregon had their bye

6. Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

2023 Stats: 72.7 Comp %, 2020 Yards, 16 TD, 2 INT, 3 Rushing TD

  • Shedeur taunting the sideline of the student section after narrowly defeating Arizona State of all teams is something, but statistically he is having a great season.

7. Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri

2023 Stats: 54 Catches, 794 Yards, 5 TD

  • Burden is the leading receiver in college football and looks almost unstoppable. Missouri almost upset LSU this week and Burden was a a big part of that effort.

8. Romeo Odunze, WR, Washington

2023 Stats: 32 Catches, 608 Yards, 4 TD, 1 Rushing TD

  • A down day overall for Washington offense included Odunze, who had a fine game but not a great one.

9. Jonathon Brooks, RB, Texas

2023 Stats: 108 Carries, 726 Yards, 6 TD, 10 Catches, 121 Receiving Yards, 1 Rec TD

  • Texas may have gotten upset by Oklahoma, but it was not due to Brooks. He has hit his stride to climb up the rushing leaderboards and is having one of the best rushing seasons in college football this year.

10. Cameron Ward, QB, Washington State

2023 Stats: 69.1 Comp %, 1587 Yards, 14 TD, 2 INT, 3 Rushing TD

  • A disaster of a game for Ward and Washington State as a whole has him falling down our rankings.
